The Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (RAMS) and the Scientific Council of the National Scientific Center for Narcology of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation on June 7, 2011, after a comprehensive study, recognized the method as highly effective and recommended it for use in the Russian Federation.

The All-Union Research Institute first patented the Nazaraliev method for Patent Examination (VNIIPE USSR) in 1989.

A complete treatment course consists of three stages:
